Vlog 2: Explanations & Blubber

Interview with Jack Strify from German Popcorn / March '10 (eng&rus translation)

Credit Bloody Destiny & InDieNacht

Why did the band break up?
Strify: The five of us always had a connection that identified the band. But it became weaker, and we all need the distance in order to be able to breathe again. It was not an easy decision - we took it together, and are of the opinion that it is the best for us.

How do you feel about it?
Strify: It is harder than I thought it would be to let it go. We had a great time, we experienced a lot. But we cannot look back on the past but simply go on. The end can be a good thing, if it is the beginning of something new.

Were there arguments in the band?
Strify: Yeah, right! But that was not the reason for the break up. We look back on five incredible years, two albums of which I am very proud and the best fans that we could imagine.

What are you doing now?
Strify: I started writing songs and I want to at the same time catch up on my schooling. I can`t live without music, so one will catch sight of me somewhere - I can promise.

And what are the others doing?
Strify: Yu and Romeo are in Los Angeles and they are working with other U.S. musicians on various projects. Shin started his solo project Mr Hangover. What Kiro is doing, I don`t know . We stopped living together in our apartment in Berlin.

So there is no happy end?
Strify: It is still open – however, currently it is clear that we are going our separated ways for a year. What comes next, I don`t know. Never say never! Maybe we will try a new start again.
